US government has vouched that CIA will not be allowed any more to use vaccination programmes like polio eradication campaign, for spying or intelligence operations.
There have been allegations that CIA has used vaccination programmes for spying.
Especially one such operation was given as an example in which CIA used Polio Campaign to spy on Osama Bin Laden. After that spying, Laden was killed in an operation in Pakistan.
